Feedforward. El ángel de la historia, es una exposición que continúa un camino que LABoral Centro de Arte mantiene desde su apertura, en la frontera entre el arte y la creación industrial. De hecho, con esta propuesta se cierra un círculo en la programación al establecer un diálogo con Feedback, inaugurada el 30 de marzo de 2007, y que fue el comienzo de la andadura del centro. Un recorrido que toma un nuevo rumbo ahora con la incorporación de Benjamin Weil como comisario jefe, tras la marcha de Eric Berger.

Esta muestra, comisariada por Christine Paul y Steve Dietz, concita una selección de obras que trabaja con los espacios de interacción social derivados de las nuevas tecnologías. El planteamiento teórico evoca el conocido comentario de Walter Benjamin sobre el cuadro de Paul Klee, Angelus novus. A propósito de esta obra, Benjamin habla de una conciencia de la historia y del progreso como un vórtice de ruinas y catástrofe, y el motivo se recicla ahora para la comunicación de masas y las nuevas redes sociales. ‘La aprehensión de la realidad desde el archivo postcapital’, del 11 al 13 de noviembre en la Sala CICCA de Arrecife. Daniel G. Andújar, artista multimedia, fundador de Technologies to the people (TTTP) y del colectivo irational.org., dirigirá un encuentro-taller teórico y práctico bajo el título de “La aprehensión de la realidad desde el archivo postcapital”, que tendrá lugar del 11 al 13 de novembre, de 18:00 a 20:00 horas, en la Sala CICCA de Arrecife. Y, al igual que cualquier proceso revolucionario, es incompleto, porque el esfuerzo necesario para llevarlo a cabo siempre es mayor que los logros obtenidos. Durante los dos años invertidos en el proyecto, los cambios han sido constantes: se han producido películas nuevas, se han escrito nuevos libros y, de pronto, vivimos en un tipo de sociedad diferente donde la escasez sustituye a la abundancia. “ 人类技术”（Technologies To The People，下称TTTP）于
1996 年问世，当时它作为展览“反调——现实的毁灭”的一部
分，在汉堡艺术协会和汉堡美术馆展出。起初，“人类技术”呈现
给众人的是一个致力于将先进的科技带给下层社会的虚拟企业形
象，以及一系列模糊的企业形象，展览效果极具威慑力。展览中
的这些身份认知的动摇、视觉原型都与信息时代中的商业公司有
关。数字科技发展的初始阶段，上市公司所持股票贬值、企业形
象被高度夸大、商业声明含糊其辞——这些一度引起传媒关注的
金融海市蜃楼，之后又消失得片甲不留——重要的是，TTTP 正是
在这一信息爆炸的时期应运而生。并且，这一时期也是互联网技
术发展的初始阶段，人们假想出一种独立精神，他们认为互联网
相关知识的普及应该成为民主化进程的一部分，但这一公正中立
的理想最终未能实现。所以，TTTP 的出现，是一种双重讽刺——
一方面虚构了科技公司的不良形象，将其置于尴尬的境地；另一

L’Archivo Postcapital(1989-2001) – www.postcapital.org – è stato presentato per la prima volta nel 2006 presso il centro La Virreina-Exposiciones di Barcellona, come parte del progetto Postcapital. Política, ciudad, dinero [Postcapitale. Politica, città, soldi], insieme alle opere dell’artista Carlos Garaicoa e del saggista Iván de la Nuez. Da allora, questa proposta multimediale in costante sviluppo – che agli utenti consente non soltanto la consultazione, ma anche la copia e addirittura la modifica – si è ampliata nel corso di esposizioni, laboratori, workshop e interventi nello spazio pubblico, realizzati a Oslo, Santiago del Cile, Brema, Montreal, Istanbul, Dortmund e, più di recente, sotto forma antologica, nel Württembergischer Kunstverein di Stoccarda.

Nella sua configurazione attuale, l’archivio include più di 250.000 documenti compilati tramite Internet da Daniel G. Andújar nel corso di quasi dieci anni di lavoro creativo. Questi materiali, tra i quali si possono trovare pubblicazioni, videoclip, audio e banche di immagini, tracciano una vasta radiografia delle trasformazioni geopolitiche e della situazione delle ideologie comuniste e capitaliste nel periodo compreso tra la caduta del Muro di Berlino e l’attentato alle Torri Gemelle di New York. FEEDFORWARD – The Angel of History addresses the current moment in history where the wreckage of political conflict and economic inequality is piling up, while globalized forces—largely enabled by the “progress” of digital information technologies—inexorably feed us forward. The exhibition title references Paul Klee’s painting Angelus Novus, which Walter Benjamin famously interpreted as an “angel of history” transfixed by the wreckage of the past that is piling up in front of him while being propelled backwards into the uncertain future by a storm from paradise (progress).

The exhibition, curated by Steve Dietz (Artistic Director of the 01SJ Biennial) and Christiane Paul (Director of the Media Studies Graduate Program, New School, NY; Adjunct Curator of New Media Arts, Whitney Museum of American Art) features 29 artworks by 27 artists and artist teams. The projects are presented, as if in the rear view mirror of progress, in sections relating to five themes: the “wreckage” of the 20th century created by wars and conflict; the countermeasures of surveillance and repression that the state as well as global capital set up in an to attempt to maintain control; the aesthetics and symbolic language of the media of our times; the forces of economic globalization such as outsourcing and migration; and the possibilities of reconstruction and agency.
